Kathleen Matthews, the Executive Vice-President, Global Communications and Public Affairs Marriott International and is tremendously excited about India and the India story. Her company plans to set up a 100+ hotels in various business categories across the length and breadth of India, over the next 4 years.  Many of these hotels will be in tier two and tier three cities. I spoke to her about the jobs that will be created. Her company, she said, is working with Indian trainers and the university system to train Indians in these cities. She said that she was tremendously impressed by the ambition, dedication, hard work and aspiration of young Indians in smaller towns. She believes that the setting up of these hotels in second rung towns and cities, will not just increase direct employment required by the hotels, but have a spill over effect on the local economy as a whole. Kathleen Matthews said Brand India for her meant vibrant, dynamic, optimistic, and  full of aspiration.

It's great to see the positivity around India at the World Economic Forum. Corporations are looking to invest more in India and are willing to understand the Government policies and investment opportunities. India Adda is doing a fantastic job of collaborating with business leaders here at Davos.

Thats the great thing about India, there is always a world of opportunities waiting to be explored, and companies across the world realize that now. At a very basic level these can be classified on the basis of region, geography, climate, accessibility etc. And there are factors you can feel but cant express. India is all about that. Kudos to IBEF for their efforts.

It's great to know how organizations see that there is a lot to India than what meets the eye. As Manuj above wrote, there are some factors that you cant express. Our nation is a mine of such factors. Its our resolve, grit and determination that helps us get the best out of the worst of situations. The youth of India will definitely play a great role in days to come. Our efforts in the field of education and IT amongst others will help us grow. Keep the efforts going.

India Story sounding amazing !! 100 hotels means more than 50,000 jobs, better infrastructure in tier II and tier III cities. Young talent sure is the biggest asset for the country.
