Inspirations - Jessica Cox - Powered by IBEF
This morning's breakfast session was hosted by Mahindra Satyam and featured Jessica Cox. IT was possibly one of the most inspiring and moving sessions I have ever attended

Jessica Cox was born without arms. She uses no prosthetic arms, but manages to do more than what most of us can do with both arms. She has trained herself to  do the mundane to the complex with her feet. Be it picking up a cup, or driving a car, moving a Television set or flying a plane -Jessica has done it all. For her it is about thinking 'out of the shoe' ... she sees an issue to be overcome, and she figures how it can be done with her feet. This out of the shoe thinking has allowed her to get her driving license, a pilot license and black belts (two ) in Taekwondo

She shared her experiences with out of shoes thinking with a spell bound audience. Her sense of humour, her ability to laugh at adversity, and her positive outlook to life charged the audience . Indraneel Ganguli, from Mahindra Satyam said that the reason to invite Jessica for the breakfast session, rather than another business talk, was to remind the world that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. He said this with particular reference to the Eurozone Crisis and said that if 5 leaders made up their mind to solve the problem, it would be solved.

Jessica later dropped in at the India Adda where she met with Anand Sharma, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry. He suggested that she visit India to spend time with youth and young business people to inspire them to think 'out of the shoe'

truly inspiring... we all should learn from Jessica that inner strength, thinking out of the box is more than enough to overcome issues, solve problems in our world.
